GLOBAL CONSULTING PROGRAMS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
We believe international consulting is one of the best ways to prepare undergraduate students for a career in a global business environment.
The Extended Consulting Program for Early-Careers Professionals is based on an interdisciplinary approach to solving complex project cases by upper-level undergraduate students of various business majors and minors - marketing, finance, information technology, management, international business, finance, economics, accounting or human resources.
The main goal is for the undergraduate students to learn techniques and strategies how to successfully manage and deliver an international consulting project.
They work as a team in solving a real business problem, conducting extensive researches, processing various market analyzes and creating the most suitable solutions for the client.
Such experience gives them the opportunity to acquire valuable work skills required before graduation and thus prepares them for a successful entry into the labor market.
Extended projects for undergraduates are semester-long and thus provide the students with little or no work experience with enough time for quality project elaboration.
- STUDENTS' TEAM SIZE -
We usually work with larger groups of 15-25 students, who form smaller project teams - solid or fluid - according to the specific needs of the projects.
- PROJECT DELIVERY -
Consulting projects are preferably implemented and delivered at a distance.
Exceptionally it is possible to organize a final presentation as a part of a short-term project-oriented study program in the country where the client operates.
- WHAT WILL THE STUDENTS LEARN? -
Undergraduate students often gain their first, truly applied international experience, which takes their existing knowledge to the next level
Practice teamwork in specific project roles and discover their potential
Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Apply interdisciplinary collaboration and learn from your classmates
Learn the principles of project management, including the timely delivery of quality work output
Improve their presentation skills and techniques to defend and sell proposed solutions
Face the challenges of intercultural communication and find out how solutions are perceived from the perspective of other cultures
They gain confidence in themselves and their abilities

WHAT THE UNDERGRADUATES HAD TO SAY ABOUT THEIR CONSULTING EXPERIENCE
GLOBAL CONSULTING PROJECT FOR MOSER
“Working on our client-based project in BUS 360 was very insightful. Collaborating with GIOBA and Moser gave me the opportunity to further understand how organizations function differently depending on their cultural background and geographic location. When conducting our marketing research, it was important to be mindful of these differences and how they might affect our target market and design of our promotional campaign.
Having this challenge was very eye opening, and has created an appreciation for other cultural viewpoints and diverse perspectives which I will carry with me when entering the workforce upon graduation. I also feel that my capacity to problem solve and communicate complex ideas to my peers grew immensely throughout this process. The ability to analyze real business issues with our client was something I had never experienced before, and is unique to the study abroad experience. I am incredibly thankful for all that I have gained from BUS 360, and am especially proud of my team for learning most of all how to persevere in the face of adversity.”

GLOBAL CONSULTING PROJECT FOR BUDWEISER BUDVAR
I really loved being part of this project. Being one of the project managers, I helped develop the project from start to finish and was able to see a lot of the behind the scenes roles. I feel I learned a lot of management skills, communication and presentation skills, and universal business skills.
I am so happy I was happy to do this project and recommend this program to others.

GLOBAL CONSULTING PROJECT FOR SONNENTOR
“For me, the greatest benefit of working on the project was the collaboration it allowed. Not only the collaboration with our classroom, but with the EMB students and with GIOBA. This would have not been as exciting and as good of a project without all the pieces. I was happy to be pushed out of my comfort zone through teaming up and speaking to Sonnentor.
This taught me so much about not being a “soloists”, trying to work by myself, but collaborating to get a better end product.
Thank you for an amazing program”! I am thankful for this experience and I will never forget it”!
